The latest travel system for the folks at Ickle Bubba that can be set up as a normal pushchair, but with the added extra of a built-in “Bubba Board” so your pre-schooler can ride along too.We started using the Eclipse after the arrival of our second child, who is five months old. We needed a travel system to accommodate him and his three-year-old brother. The ability for this system to be used as a regular pram – with baby close to you – facing frontwards or backwards is great.
It’s a lightweight but sturdy travel system, so is easy to manoeuvre – even with two kids on board – and is relatively easy to get in and out of a car boot. The large basket at the bottom, is great for carrying essentials or shopping, however, you do need to empty it when folding down. The seat material is luxurious, but is also hard-wearing and easy to clean, which is essential, and the five-point harness is easy to fit, even on the wriggliest of passengers…Ride-wise, it’s very smooth and can handle bumpy terrain. We regularly take it out on our local common and it can handle the gravel paths and a bit of off-road, with no problems at all. The Eclipes’ brake is in a very convenient place, and the folding mechanism is a very simple to use, one-handed action.
The overall package is also great – you get all the kit, including bassinet, changing bag and mat, rain cover and winter footmuff included, which makes it really good value for money.Definitely.
