Brrr… as if it wasn’t cold enough below the mountain! 🥶

Malaysia has no winters, but sometimes it can be cold enough to have light hailstorms and see high-altitude areas covered in small amounts of ice flakes.

The pictures showed icicles and light frost at the peak of Mount Kinabalu when it recorded a temperature reading ranging from -3 to -5 degrees Celcius between 2.30am and 7am on 7 April 2023. The icy phenomenon started from the Sub Station Panalaban in Kinabalu Park up to the mountain’s peak.
