The Prime Minister has spoken about how he is feeling after contracting COVID-19 for a second time and what prompted him to get tested as he prepares to meet virtually with state and territory leaders over inflated energy prices.

Anthony Albanese has revealed he is"doing OK" but is not feeling 100 per cent after testing positive to coronavirus for a second time this year.

But the Prime Minister was upbeat about a quick recovery, with advice from his doctor putting him at ease.

However the timing is still far from ideal, with the leaders of state and territories scheduled to meet face-to-face on Wednesday about caps on coal.
