They were recently denied permanency as Aaryan was considered a "significant" strain on Australia's healthcare system. "I literally burst into tears, I was really happy — we can stay here, we can live in this community and we can provide a good environment for our kids," Krishna said. "Without you we wouldn't have got this far or have become permanent residents."
The minister was referring to an online petition that gained more than 27,000 signatures calling for the family to stay in Australia.
