A man is in custody after Durham police say he assaulted his spouse and another family member with a weapon at an Oshawa home.A woman was assaulted by her spouse and when her brother intervened, there was a physical altercation with the suspect.He sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a Toronto trauma centre.
