The Holland Hurricanes defeated the Mount Saint Vincent Mistics to capture the ACAA women’s volleyball championship this past weekend in Halifax. The team will move on to represent the conference at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship, March 8-11, hosted by the Vancouver Island University Mariners, in Nanaimo, B.C. The ‘Canes first matchup is March 8 at 5 p.m.

Ella Hickey dished out 26 assists and added 5 digs, two kills and an assist. Makena Marble recorded 17 digs while Mason Babey added eight kills in the win.“I am very proud of this group at Holland College,” said head coach Craig Hoskins. White, a second-year player from Charlottetown, said her team went through the best and worse times together but always found a way through it.
