Hundreds of Calgarians came out to attend events marking the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
First Nations and Métis survivors of residential schools, their families and communities came together with non-Indigenous people at events throughout the city. As Carolyn Kury de Castillo reports, a location has now been chosen to create a permanent memorial to remind people of the legacy of residential schools and to honour those children who did not make it home.
