A man at the centre of human trafficking charges has signalled his intention to seek bail.Dominic Delisle has a history of pimping charges and convictions here and in his home province of Quebec.
Last week, he was singled out in an RCMP crackdown on drugs, weapons and human trafficking in western Newfoundland. Delisle faces numerous charges, including forcing a person to provide sex for money, and pocketing the proceeds. Yesterday, court was told that the same person, who cannot be identified, is putting up the money and promise for Delisle’s bail. Crown attorney Lloyd Strickland, who is also the director of public prosecutions, indicated he will challenge that scenario.Recent Stories
