Australian Defence Force Chief of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Greg Bilton says underwater searches for the MRH90 Taipan has found further debris including parts of the cockpit and human remains.

On Thursday, Australian Defence Force Chief of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Greg Bilton said unidentified human remains had been found, but positive identification was unlikely to happen until more of the wreckage had been located. Corporal Alexander Naggs , Lieutenant Maxwell Nugent and Warrant Officer Class 2 Joseph Laycock were in the chopper that crashed.
