Hujan lebat luar biasa dalam tempoh singkat punca kepala air BERITA NASIONAL TERKINI air kepala
KEMAMAN: Hujan lebat luar biasa yang berlaku dalam tempoh yang singkat pada Sabtu lalu dipercayai menjadi punca utama berlakunya tragedi kepala air di Jeram Mawar, Air Putih, dekat sini.
“Berdasarkan rekod cerapan Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran , hujan yang berlaku beberapa hari sebelum kejadian hanya 0.5 milimeter hingga 0.9 milimeter, namun pada hari kejadian, hujan terlalu ekstrem berlaku. Hassan ‘As’ari berkata, arus deras air Sungai Teladas yang mengalir dengan membawa bongkah-bongkah kayu dan batuan berkemungkinan menghempap 10 mangsa yang dipercayai sedang mandi dan berehat di kawasan jeram itu.
Dalam kejadian kira-kira pukul 5 hingga 6 petang pada Sabtu lalu, sembilan sekeluarga dari Felda Lepar Hilir, Pahang termasuk seorang bakal menantu ahli keluarga itu dari Batu Pahat, Johor dihanyutkan kepala air berikutan hujan lebat berlaku.Lapan mangsa yang ditemukan ialah Karim Abdullah, 39, dan isterinya, Azizah Eiyi, 40, serta empat anak mereka iaitu Muhammad Zulqarnain Haikal Karim, 11, Putri Nurerina Natasya,10, Muhammad Haziq Ziqree Karim, 6, dan Putri Aryana Umaira Karim, 4.
