One person is believed to be unaccounted for after an explosion in a gated community north of Brisbane this afternoon. 9News

One home swiftly went up in flames with debris strewn down the street."There were pieces of the house on our front lawn," one neighbour said.It's understood two people were living at the address.One is believed to be safe, while the other is unaccounted for.

Firefighters have not yet been able to enter the property for a search after it took 35 of them two hours to bring the blaze under control. "The scene, as you can imagine, was a bit chaotic when we first arrived," Matthew Draper of the QFES said.
