You don’t get a lot of holy-smokes moments during pre-season, but Huberdeau did something during the Flames’ final dress rehearsal that only added to the fervour and fanfare around his arrival.Article content He negotiated the first sign-and-trade in NHL history, sending Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a huge haul — Huberdeau, big-minutes blue-liner MacKenzie Weegar, a prospect and a future first-round pick.
