HUAWEI signed a global commitment to join ITU's Partner2Connect digital alliance. This will bring connectivity to people in remote areas.
HUAWEI commitment to the International Telecommunication Union's Partner2Connect digital alliance will bring connectivity to over 120 million people in remote areas in more than 80 countries by 2025. The United Nations calls for"multi-stakeholder partnerships" of policymakers, the private sector, academia, and civil society to bridge the digital divide between third-world countries and the rest of the world.
Cacao growing is one of the main sources of income for farmers in Bohol, one of the Philippines' largest cacao producers, but over 20,000 cacao trees were damaged by Typhoon Odette last year. The farmers will get two days of training in cacao rehabilitation and restoration, integrated pest and disease control, cacao harvesting, and post-harvest care in order to support and assist stabilize the industry in Bohol.
According to HUAWEI, connectivity will assist everyone enters the digital age and gives them access to better products, services, and business prospects in addition to serving as a convenient tool for communications. Further social and economic progress will result from this.
