Household workers in Metro Manila and Northern Mindanao will have higher salaries starting next month.
The NWPC also affirmed the wage order issued by the RTWPB Region X, approving a P1,000 increase for kasambahays to bring their monthly minimum wage to P6,000. Under the pay guidelines, workers who will report for duty during regular holidays shall be paid as follows: For work done in excess of eight hours, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the hourly rate on said day .
