A spokesman for the incoming House judiciary committee chairman Jim Jordan, who defied a January 6 committee subpoena, said he wasn’t involved in drafting the changes.

The most prominent case brought by OCE also focused on a Democrat, the former chairwoman of the House financial service committee Maxine Waters, who wasto help a struggling bank in which her husband owned stock, though she was ultimately cleared.
