Six people — including a six-month-old baby cradled in the arms of her 17-year-old mother — have been shot dead at a home in California's main agricultural valley in what authorities called a targeted attack and "horrific massacre".
The attacks occurred in Goshen, a farming community of 5,400 people that is located about midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Several others were shot in the head, including an elderly woman. Two women survived by hiding in a trailer on the property.
