THUNDER BAY — Two Toronto men have been arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected home takeover.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers went to a residential address on the 200 block of Algoma Street South on Thursday morning as a result of ongoing concerns about a home takeover situation. Police said officers entered the home and found two men who appeared to be hiding. The investigation resulted in quantities of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl to be seized, along with cash believed to have been obtained through selling of drugs.Amin Abdallah, 22, is charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, along with one count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Abdullahi Mohamed Ali, 23, is charged with failure to comply with a probation order. Police said that charge is related to a condition that he not be in Thunder Bay unless for court appearances. Both appeared in bail court on Friday. Abdallah remains in custody, while Ali was released with conditions. Both have future appearance dates scheduled.
