An inquiry has found former governor general and archbishop Peter Hollingworth guilty of misconduct for mishandling child sexual abuse complaints, but maintained he was “fit for ministry”.
The Anglican Dioceses’ Professional Standards Board on Monday revealed findings from a four-day hearing in February into Mr Hollingworth during his role as Brisbane's archbishop, which he held for 11 years.

Picture: Valeriu Campan Victims have also slammed the Anglican Diocese for its slow response to accusations against the disgraced former archbishop. A psychiatrist had advised the senior leader that Mr Elliot was a “paedophile and that his personality type was untreatable”, after an evaluation.
