This weekend's temperatures climb closer to seasonal values for early October as they climb a degree or two above 10°C

The Sault area dodged a chance at the season's first snowfall on Friday morning as the showers pulled far enough east to miss the injection of cold air. Instead, we will be left behind with a cool breeze that will persist this Thanksgiving weekend.

Friday will be the coldest day, with daytime highs remaining below 10°C. However, windchill values from a gusty north wind will make it feel even colder under a mix of sun and cloud. . Saturday should reach 12°C while Sunday and Monday hit 11°C. However, a gusty west wind Saturday and north wind Sunday will make it feel cooler.

Sun arrives on Sunday and will continue into Monday, with less wind expected for Thanksgiving Day. Dry weather and slightly warmer air arrive for the start of next week, with the next chance of rain around Wednesday or Thursday.
