Hobson's Choice: Fairy tales and grim reality on tap at community theatre yyc yycarts

The stage version of the Cinderella musical includes such songs as In My Little Corner, Impossible/It’s Possible, Ten Minutes Again and The Stepsisters Lament.

The musical runs in the Pumphouse’s Victor Mitchell Theatre from April 14-22 with several performances already sold out. Rosalind Jackson Roe plays Bobbie with Alex Dayson and Fiona Getty as her siblings Peter and Phyllis. Elizabeth Fairhurst and Catherine Gell will alternate as the mother. The supporting cast members are from Calgary, Okotoks, High River and Cochrane and range in age from 10 to 70.

Crippen by Paul Brown played to capacity crowds last year at the Dog and Duck pub and is being revived to pair with the premiere of Where There’s a Will by Alan LeBoeuf.Article content
