The wild weather is forecast to start in the state's north in the morning and intensify in the south this afternoon, with a severe thunderstorm warning for damaging winds current for areas around Launceston, Campbell Town, George Town, Longford and Scottsdale. "There's even a very small chance they could be classed as giant thunderstorms; the situation [Monday] is really that severe."
