The win moves the seventh-place Hitmen four points up on the ninth-place Swift Current Broncos in the Eastern Conference in the race for a top-eight finish and playoff spot. The Medicine Hat Tigers are one point back of the Hitmen in eighth. The fifth-place Hurricanes have clinched a spot.
