Starting Monday night, several lanes in Metro Vancouver\u0027s most important traffic corridor will be closed overnight
According to a statement released Monday, either one or two southbound lanes on the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday to Thursday Jan. 12 to allow for bridge maintenance. This will lead to delays for drivers headed south over the bridge during those times, but they will still be able to make it across on one lane.Start your day with a roundup of B.C.-focused news and opinion delivered straight to your inbox at 7 a.m., Monday to Friday.
Those lanes will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. They will be open Friday and Saturday nights but then close from Sunday to Thursday at the same time until Feb. 15. During this time all westbound traffic will be routed through the HOV lane and commuters are asked to find alternate routes.
