More than 70 witnesses appear to give evidence in court on Bosscher Lawyers after its co-founder was charged with fraud and falsifying documents.

High profile Queensland lawyer Michael Bosscher allegedly received regular payments for work in cash — on one occasion $250,000 in a shopping bag — to conceal funds from creditors, a court has heard.It is alleged the lawyer needed to pay bankruptcy creditors if he earned over $70,000 annuallyThe 54-year-old, who is representing himself, pleaded not guilty to one count of fraud and eight counts of falsifying records in Brisbane's Supreme Court.

An alleged arrangement was made; clients of the firm would be encouraged to pay cash, either none or only part of the funds would be deposited into the firm's account as required by law, and the money was shared between the pair and two other employees. He detailed several incidents where clients allegedly paid thousands of dollars in cash to representatives from Bosscher Lawyers at courts.
