ScotRail has confirmed a bridge has been struck by a lorry earlier today, April 10, and engineers are on their way to inspect the damage.
Images taken from the Kilbowie Bridge in Clydebank show the load located at the rear of the vehicle hitting the overpass.READ MORE: Glasgow heavy rain weather warning in place as city faces day of downpoursScotRail posted on X: "We've received reports of a vehicle striking a bridge at Clydebank. The bridge requires inspection from @NetworkRailScot staff.Network Rail confirmed that specialist engineers had been deployed to the scene.
"The bridge will need to be checked by specialist engineers although train services can still pass over the bridge albeit at a reduced speed."
