Lebanese militant group Hezbollah have begun destroying surveillance cameras along the Israeli border and launched an attack on military positions, as fears mount about potential escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

The Iranian-backed group on Tuesday released footage which it said showed snipers destroying cameras at several Israeli military posts along the border, in a move which appears designed to mask the movements of its troops following days of skirmishes.

On Sunday, a spokesperson for the group said it was prepared for all possibilities but did not"want to reveal what the next step is".
