Ontario's municipal elections are afoot, and plenty of veteran politicos are backing candidates in Ottawa, Hamilton, Vaughan and Brampton with big names or in big races.

Earlier this week, McKenney announced her campaign was being chaired by Tyler Meredith and Vicky Smallman. Summa Strategies vice-president Kate Harrison, Abacus Data pollster David Coletto and Crestview Strategy's Christine McMillan, the campaign director of the Ontario Liberals' 2022 campaign, are also aiding Sutcliffe's election effort, according to a source close to the candidate.
Horwath's campaign manager is Karla Webber-Gallagher, who was the Ontario NDP's principal secretary for the last four years. She worked for the party since 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile. Former Ontario Liberal leader Steven Del Duca is running to be mayor of Vaughan. Incumbent Maurizio Bevilacqua isn't running again.
One of Brown's challengers for mayor is Nikki Kaur, an on-leave city planner who was fired, then rehired, after alleging wrongdoing against senior City of Brampton staff under Brown.Toronto-based business and political consultants Ronald George and Suma George are managing Kaur's campaign.
