Here's when Metro Vancouver will see temperatures up to 27 C next week

Although the Canada Day long weekend will be warm and sunny, locals should prepare for even hotter temperatures.

Environment Canada forecasts steadily climbing temperatures reaching up to 27 C next week, with Metro Vancouver's sun-filled streak continuing through Friday . Temperatures will begin to warm up over the long weekend, starting at 20 C on Saturday then reaching 22 C on Sunday and 24 C on Monday, with not a single cloud in sight.

Following 25 C on Tuesday, the region will see two days of hot 27 C temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday before dropping back down to 25 C on Friday.
