PUTRAJAYA: It’s been eight years since her mother died but Jaheerah Nadzri has held firm to the memories of their time together, especially when they used to make honey cornflakes cookies for Hari Raya.
“I still miss my mother. We always made honey cornflakes cookies for Raya together. It’s my favourite and even with her gone, I continue making it,” said Jaheerah, 29.
Jaheerah, fondly known as Eerah, says she is a slow learner, but that has not stopped the entrepreneurial spirit in her. Jaheerah told Bernama that she sold more than 300 jars of those special cookies for Hari Raya last year. She has expanded the use of the platform to make her “Eerah” honey cornflakes cookies go viral.
Her father Nadzri Abdul Majid, 66, said among the personalities who had tasted Eerah’s cornflakes were the late singer Adibah Noor, artiste Elly Mazlein or Kak Lina Pom Pom, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s wife and former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. He said Jaheerah is his only daughter among four children and she has the same traits as her mother.“Eerah is very good at time management.
