Environment Canada's models show that May's above-average temperatures will likely continue through June.
Environment Canada is calling for a week of mostly sunny days and temperatures climbing toward the mid-twenties heading into the first week of June, which is also the start of meteorological summer.
On Thursday, locals should expect bright sunshine and a high of 20 C on the coast dropping to a low of 11 C overnight. Friday is expected to get slightly warmer, with a high of 21 C during the day.
