Mr Wong succeeds Mr Philip Lee, who will retire from the board on Mar 31, HPB and the Ministry of Health announced on Monday .He is also the vice chair of the World Energy Council's Asia network and was previously chairman of SkillsFuture Singapore. "As chairman of HPB, Mr Wong will provide effective leadership to the Board and management as the organisation furthers its health promotion efforts, in line with the Healthier SG national initiative," said MOH and HPB.
