KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 — The Ministry of Health has taken note of the issue that two children suffered from cerebral palsy after being born in a government-owned health facility.
The ministry explained that the case has been categorised as a complex complaint and its management is done based on the Guidelines on the Management of Medico legal Complaints in the Ministry Of Health, second edition 2019, which stipulates that every complaint must be investigated by the hospital and the ministry if necessary.
“The management of cases like this takes a long time because it requires the involvement of various parties, including the medical experts involved and the Attorney General’s Chambers,” it said.
