Eighty-five new medications have been added to the province’s formulary since 2021.
Innovative Medicines Canada , a lobby group for pharmaceutical companies such as Bayer, AstraZeneca and P.E.I.’s BioVectra, has called national, single-payer pharmacare “unrealistic.” Some members of the P.E.I. Health Coalition, who held a press conference last week, said Canadians need to push the Trudeau government to follow through on his pharmacare promises.
