Am Steuer saß eine 69-jährige Frau, die ursache ist noch unklar, wie ein Sprecher des Lagezentrums der Brandenburger Polizei sagte. Bei den Fußgängern handelte es sich demnach um zwei Erwachsene und ein Kind.

Die Feuerwehr teilte auf der Plattform X mit, sie sei mit zahlreichen Kräften an der stelle gewesen. Zur Betreuung von Augenzeugen sei die Notfallseelsorge angefordert worden.
