In Tran’s written submission to Tyndale he indicated to the Calgary Court of Justice judge that possession of a loaded restricted firearm is the most serious possession offence in the Criminal Code. Araya had a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun while travelling in a vehicle and then later in a Shoppers Drug Mart.
