JOHOR BARU: A total of 689 policemen will be stationed at various locations statewide to control the traffic flow in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the school holidays.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said that the police will focus on monitoring 27 black spots and 47 hotspots during the holiday season.

"The North-South Expressway is also expected to see heavy traffic before Hari Raya as per the trend in past years," he said in a statement here. "Among the districts are Batu Pahat, Kota Tinggi, Pontian and Muar, especially around village and Felda areas," he said.
