Events rescheduled due to post tropical storm Fiona’s arrival on ex’s second weekend
Start your engines! Motorsports are a big attraction at Hants County Exhibition. The Modified Truck and Tractor Pull was held on Sept. 17, and the Demolition Derby that was postponed due to post-tropical storm Fiona has been rescheduled for Oct. 15. CONTRIBUTED / JIM IVEYWINDSOR, N.S. — People who missed out on the second weekend of the Hants County Exhibition due to post-tropical storm Fiona will get another chance to use their passes.
The demolition derby begins at 1 p.m. In the event of rain, it will take place on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. Hines said their two motorsport events, the modified truck and tractor pull that happened on the first weekend, and the demolition derby, are big attractions for the exhibition. She said there is no denying that having Fiona hit the province after two years of COVID-19 restrictions hurt the exhibition financially. Hines said the management team is still working to calculate the exact impact that losing the second weekend of events will have on their bottom line.
With a second weekend of good weather, she believes it would have been a record-breaking exhibition all around.
