Police are still looking for the suspect
Around 1:55 p.m. Feb. 12, officers were dispatched to a convenience store on Cote Boulevard in Hanmer in relation to a robbery that had just taken place, said information provided by a police spokesperson.
Greater Sudbury Police did not state what store was robbed, but a citizen’s post on the Facebook group Valley East indicates the incident took place at the Kwik Way store in Hanmer, which is located at 7 Cote Blvd. Information provided to police was that a man entered the store, approached the counter, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the register.The employee did not sustain any injuries as a result of the interaction.
The man is described as being white, between 5-8 to 5-11 tall, and wearing a white hoodie and grey pants at the time of the incident.The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
