The Kingston chapter of Habitat for Humanity unveiled its latest effort to combat the housing shortage facing Kingstonians in the form of a number of tiny homes.
WATCH: The Kingston branch of Habitat for Humanity displayed its new housing project. These are tiny homes and a handful of them will be moving to the Rideau Heights neighbourhood next week.
Working in conjunction with the City of Kingston, the organization is building eight tiny apartments to help combat the rising cost of housing. The organization plans to work with others that have waitlists of people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. “And then we hope to be able to create a larger development in and around these homes,” added Borowec.
