Since the Emergencies Act requires there be a threat to the security of Canada as defined by section two of the CSIS Act, this should have been a slam dunk. The convoy simply did not constitute a threat sufficient to invoke the Emergencies Act, suspend civil liberties and seize bank accounts.Now here is where the we-know-better, we-are-above-the-law smugness of our “progressive” governors comes in.
