A group, Ekiti Progressives, has advised the Academic Staff Union of Universities to constitute itself into development partner with the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti and Federal University, Oye E
kiti through healthy dialogue, constructive criticisms and supportive advice.
Spokesman for the indigenous group of stakeholders, Mr Olabisi Adesua, said incessant attacks on the managements of EKSU and FUOYE by ASUU, Akure Zone and the local chapters of the two institutions, would not augur well for the welfare of ASUU members and growth of the institutions. In a statement titled, ‘ASUU and Two Universities in Ekiti,’ Adesua said, “Sadly, the consequences of such awful development have been poor welfare for ASUU members, lack of a sense of belonging as members, unhealthy rivalry among members and poor growth and development of the union on all fronts”.All rights reserved.
