Gregor Robertson has been named the global ambassador for the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, an organization that unites more than 9,200 participating cities and partners in the fight against climate change.
“Vancouver has established that a city can grow and prosper economically and socially, while becoming a global green capital,” said Robertson in a statement. Robertson was mayor of Vancouver from 2008 to 2018 when he announced he would not be seeking re-election.
