NSW Premier Chris Minns has taken the Greens party to task for stoking tensions across Sydney and the nation through “political posturing” with pro-Palestine protests.

NSW Premier Chris Minns has called out the Greens for becoming"embroiled" in the rising tensions of extreme"political posturing" after his office was doused in red paint this week in an apparent pro- Palestine protest.

He was questioned on whether the Greens were to blame for rising tensions in the community after both Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton united in condemning the Greens for fuelling division and undermining social cohesion. “At the end of the day, they’re on stations like this, on radio, broadcast, print every single day of the week bagging Labor and the Liberals and the Nationals, so maybe they’ve got a bit coming their way.”

Mr Bandt rejected the claim as “not correct” and said Labor was making a “shameful attempt” to distract from the war in Gaza and were refusing to take “meaningful action to prevent genocide”. “We’ve done that successfully in this state for decades and I hate to see the fundamental principles or tenets of that rocked around by political posturing.”
