Green duo simply colossal — but star trio flop in heartbreaking loss: Giants player ratings
Finished with 25 touches. Had some important moments at centre bounce in the fourth quarter, but overall not as influential as previous finals.Again loomed as the match-winner. Played more midfield than usual, yet still found a way to turn most of his touches into Giants scores and showed terrific workrate. After a quiet start, broke his team’s run of four-straight behinds with its opening goal five minutes into the second term before adding another at the start of the third term.
Shanked a couple of set-shots, but finished with 19 disposals and six score involvements.Occupied the broadcast wing for most of the night. Really lifted in the final term with 10 touches as the Giants lifted. Finished with 21 disposals.Didn’t spend as much time on the ball, but still showed great class on the outside. Then went inside after half-time and had a whopping 23 disposals in the second half alone. Finished with a team-high 16 contested possessions and eight inside 50s.
