GPS to focus on unity govt stability, says Fadillah

GABUNGAN Parti Sarawak wants to continue to focus on the stability of the unity government in order to develop the economy for the people as called upon by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof who is also GPS chief whip, said the unity government is stable and strong, as this was proven through the support of 148 Members of Parliament and Budget 2023, which was passed in parliament last month.

“For GPS, this is our focus and not politicking because now is the time to develop and restore the economy for the sake of the people,” he told reporters after a Hari Raya gathering organised by Persaudaraan Masjid, Bintangor dan Haji Taha in Kuching. Fadillah was commenting on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s confidence that the unity government will remain intact until the next general election. – Bernama, May 6, 2023.
