Documentary filmmaker Mike Downie and acclaimed Anishinaabe journalist Tanya Talaga are among the confirmed headliners at this year’s Algoma Fall Festival.
This year’s festival will also feature Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman and the Cape Breton-based family group the Barra MacNeils. The festival began in 1972 and has featured prominent Canadian artists over the years including the National Ballet of Canada, Bruce Cockburn, Natalie McMaster, Jann Arden and The Tenors.
