During one of the days last year during this community service initiative, Yarmouth Wesleyan Church partnered up with the Salvation Army Church in Yarmouth and Port Maitland Wesleyan Church to clean up downtown Yarmouth. Thanks were also extended to Rick Doucette and his team at Coastal Financial Credit Union for sponsoring the event. Locally, churches have taken part in this initiative in the past through what they've called Love Week. Q: The intention of Love Atlantic is to conduct community service projects. How would you describe the benefits to the recipients of these projects? A: “The benefit for those serving, from the churches’ perspective, is that we can make a difference in our communities by serving and loving in practical ways like Jesus did. It’s invigorating to be part of something greater than ourselves and to show people that they are loved.”
