Goldman Sachs compensation should be reviewed, says PM FMTNews
PETALING JAYA: The 1MDB special task force believes that the government’s deal with Goldman Sachs should be reviewed.
“I agree with his opinion because from the start I thought the deal was rushed through. It has raised a lot of questions about the previous administration. “Sometimes, people look at transparency and being firm lightly but this can save public money,” he was quoted as saying. The settlement consisted of US$2.5 billion and a guarantee to return at least US$1.4 billion in the form of assets related to the money swindled from three bond transactions.
