Yocheved Lifshitz, an 85-year-old Israeli woman who was kidnapped and held hostage by Hamas for more than two weeks, is talking about her frightening ordeal. What Lifshitz says she endured, what the militants told her, and how they treated her, as families of other hostages remain in agony waiting for word about their loved ones.
A Hamas spokesperson says the group is in talks with other countries to free more people from the Gaza Strip, but claims they want the conditions to be right and the airstrikes on Gaza to stop first. Crystal Goomansingh spoke with Ghazi Hamed, a member of the political bureau of Hamas in Gaza, about the hostages and Hamas' violent conflict with Israel. Hundreds of Canadians are still trapped in the Gaza Strip, with little to no humanitarian aid.
