Mr Barry first hosted Media Watch in 2000 before his return in 2013 with the 15-minute weekly program proving a reliable ratings winner for the national broadcaster. “It's a great privilege to host Media Watch and I've enjoyed it enormously,” Mr Barry said in a statement."Thanks to all our viewers. I'll be with you until December. And I'm sure the program will go on to great things without me.""I'm hanging up the mic at the end of this year.
